in Tønsberg, Norway
Demographic Changes and Challenges in Northern Europe
The 18th Nordic Demographic Symposium will be held from 13th to 15th September 2012 at the Choice Hotel Klubben in Tønsberg, Norway. The main theme of the symposium will be demographic changes and challenges. and is organized by the Norwegian Demographic Society on behalf of the Nordic Demographic Society.
Location and accommodation
Choice Hotel Klubben is located by the seaside in the coastal town of Tønsberg, approximately 1.5 hours south of Oslo. Tønsberg is the oldest town in Norway, and keywords like history/Viking-age, coastal/marine environment describes the nice atmosphere of the region. Among the historical highlights are the well-preserved ruins of a medival castle, and an authentic Viking ship etc..
